About the estate
The Gallo Mauro Alfredo Az.Agr. estate has been dedicated to viticulture in Montabone since 1900 and is currently managed by the brothers Carlo and Guido Gallo. The winery cultivates approximately 20 hectares of vineyards located in the hills of Monferrato on soils composed mainly of marl and sandstone. The planted grape varieties include Barbera, Dolcetto, Moscato, Brachetto, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Cortese. Harvesting is carried out manually by local labor to transport the grapes gently to the nearby cellar. Environmental sustainability is a key focus, supported by integrated pest management, photovoltaic systems, and a wastewater purification plant.
