About the estate

The Franco Conterno Cascina Sciulun S.S. estate in Monforte d'Alba, Piedmont, manages 28 hectares of vineyards located in sites such as Bussia and Panerole. The family has cultivated the vineyards, situated at altitudes between 250 and 400 meters above sea level, since the second half of the nineteenth century. The grape variety portfolio includes Nebbiolo, Barbera, Dolcetto, Merlot, Freisa, and Chardonnay. Since 2015, the winery has operated according to certified organic farming guidelines without the use of synthetic chemicals. The soils composed of sand, silt, and clay, combined with the specific microclimate, shape the character of the produced wines.
