About the estate
The Fonzone Winery was founded in 2005 by Lorenzo Fonzone Caccese and his family in Paternopoli in the heart of Irpinia in Campania. Covering about thirty hectares of vineyards, they cultivate grape varieties such as Aglianico, Fiano di Avellino, Greco di Tufo, Falanghina, and Coda di Volpe. Production follows sustainable agricultural practices, featuring manual harvesting and the avoidance of chemical fertilizers. Vinification is carried out in vessels such as concrete, cocciopesto, and terracotta to preserve the typical varietal character of the wines. The portfolio includes various denominations such as Fiano di Avellino DOCG, Greco di Tufo DOCG, and Taurasi DOCG.
