About the estate

In the heart of Umbria, between the provinces of Terni and Perugia, the Fattoria di Monticello estate covers a total area of approximately 500 hectares. The history of the estate is closely linked to the agricultural tradition of the Scassini family, active in the region since 1948. The company adopts a biosustainable approach that combines traditional practices such as crop rotation and organic fertilization with modern technologies. The vineyards are distributed across the areas of Massa Martana and Ripalvella in the municipality of San Venanzo on clayey and mineral-rich soils of an ancient volcanic zone. In addition to viticulture, the integrated agricultural enterprise also includes olive groves, arable land, livestock farming, and forests.

The eno directory lists 10 wines, mostly from Cabernet Sauvignon and Trebbiano. The estate sells to retail.
