Erbhof Unterganzner

About the estate

The Erbhof Unterganzner estate is situated at the eastern edge of the Bolzano basin in South Tyrol at an altitude of 285 meters on the area's characteristic porphyry rock. The winery cultivates its vineyards using the traditional pergola training system, which has been modified with a high vine density and targeted yield limitation. In harmony with nature, the use of chemical fertilizers and herbicides is deliberately avoided, while old vineyards are maintained through partial regeneration. Particular attention is dedicated to Lagrein, which has been fostered through decades of careful selection. In addition to winemaking, the estate also cultivates apples, figs, chestnuts, and olives on a small scale.

The eno directory lists 17 wines, mostly from Lagrein and Chardonnay.
