About the estate
The Dominio de Cair, S.L. estate was founded in 2008 by the Luis Cañas family in the Ribera del Duero region. The winery manages approximately 120 hectares of vineyards located in La Aguilera, Quintana del Pidio, and Moradillo de Roa at altitudes between 820 and 950 meters above sea level. The soils comprise clay-limestone, sandy, and gravel formations, featuring old vines including centenarian plants. Vineyard management follows a rational and environmentally respectful approach, complemented by meticulous manual grape selection. Vinification takes place in a modern, avant-garde facility equipped with small stainless steel tanks, oak vats, and a dedicated barrel aging program.
