The Alberto y Benito, S.A. estate has its origins in the 1980s in the small town of Fompedraza in the province of Valladolid. Today, the winery within the Ribera del Duero DO denomination is managed by the Benito Hernando brothers, Gaspar, Fernando, and Javier. The property encompasses more than 77 hectares of vineyards where varieties such as Tempranillo are cultivated. In the modern winery, tradition and technology combine to produce wines under labels such as Briego, Ankal, and Supernova. French and American oak barrels are used for the aging of the wines.
