The Domaine sauvète estate cultivates 17 hectares of vineyards in Monthou-sur-Cher in the Loire Valley. Run by the family, the winery has practiced organic agriculture for 25 years. The vineyard area is divided equally between white grape varieties such as Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc, and Chardonnay, and red varieties including Gamay, Malbec, Cabernet Franc, and Pineau d’Aunis. Soils consisting of sand, flint, and clay, combined with a favorable microclimate, shape the character of the wines. Production takes place under the AOC Touraine, AOC Touraine Chenonceaux, and AOC Crémant de Loire designations.
