Domaine les Grandes Vignes

About the estate

The Domaine les Grandes Vignes estate in Bellevigne en Layon in the Loire Valley has been passed down through generations of the Vaillant family since the 17th century. The vineyards cover 48 hectares and are planted with Chenin for white wines, alongside Cabernet Franc, Grolleau, and Pineau d'Aunis for reds and rosés. The diverse soils feature green and grey schist, phtanite, quartz, shelly falun, sand, and rolled gravel. Since 2008, the siblings and their team have farmed the land using organic and biodynamic agricultural methods. Winemaking involves minimal intervention in the cellar, utilizing around 300 barrels for aging.
