About the estate
The Domaine des Trahan estate is located in the north of the Deux-Sèvres department at the southern edge of the Anjou appellation and has been managed by four generations of the family. Spanning 58 hectares across three communes, the vineyards are characterized by schist soils and gravelly alluvial deposits from the Argenton river. The grape variety portfolio is dominated by Cabernet Franc, alongside Chenin Blanc, Grolleau Noir, Chardonnay, and several others, producing mainly wines under the AOC Anjou and Saumur Fines Bulles denominations. The winery applies agro-ecological methods, progressively eliminates herbicides, and relies on natural cover crops and organic fertilization. The estate holds environmental certification for its sustainable practices.
The eno directory lists 2 wines, mostly from Cabernet Franc and Merlot.
