About the estate

The Domaine le Puy du Maupas estate is located in Provence on the border of Drôme and Vaucluse at the foot of Mount Ventoux. Cultivated by the family since 1800, the winery is currently run in a family collaboration between Christian Sauvayre and his daughter Amélie. Spanning over 45 hectares of vineyards with sandy, limestone, and clay-limestone soils, the estate produces organic wines. The portfolio features traditional Rhône grape varieties such as Grenache, Syrah, Carignan, Mourvèdre, Cinsault, Clairette, Ugni blanc, Bourboulenc, Marsanne, Viognier, and Muscat petit grain. Farming follows organic agriculture guidelines, complemented by modern cellar technology and a barrel cellar carved into the rock.
