The Domaine Grand Romane - Domaine les Hautes Cances estate looks back on a family history that began in 1929 when the first bottles from its own vineyards were commercially distributed. The vineyard area now covers 137 hectares on hillside plots near the Dentelles de Montmirail massif in the Rhône region. The vineyards extend at altitudes between 260 and 500 meters on poor, clay-limestone soils as well as sandy marl. The cultivated grape varieties include Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Cinsault, and Clairette. Management focuses on producing balanced wines through the freshness of high altitudes and slow grape ripening.
