About the estate
The Domaine du Haut Montlong estate is located in Pomport in the heart of the Bergerac and Monbazillac appellations and has been cultivated by four generations of the family since 1925. The vineyards cover 75 hectares with vines averaging around 50 years old planted on clay-limestone and molasses soils at an altitude of 110 meters. The diverse grape variety selection includes Sémillon, Muscadelle, Sauvignon blanc and gris, Chenin, and Chardonnay for white wines, alongside Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Malbec for reds. Since taking over the estate in 2017, Laurence and Philippe have converted all operations to organic farming, applying environmentally conscious practices such as cover cropping and soil management.
The eno directory lists 18 wines, mostly from Merlot and Chenin Blanc. The estate sells to retail.
