Domaine du Foussal Bas

About the estate

The Domaine du Foussal Bas estate was founded in 1983 by Pierre Bach and taken over forty years later in 2023 by his son Raphaël. The eight and a half hectares of vineyards are located in the middle of the causse on stony limestone soils with a unique red clay topsoil. These terroirs nurture Malbec, Cabernet Franc and Merlot grapes, which are crafted into characterful red and rosé wines under the AOC Coteaux du Quercy and IGP Côtes du Lot denominations. The winery follows sustainable agricultural practices and has held environmental certification since 2023. All stages of production, from vineyard management and harvesting to vinification and bottling, take place directly on the property.
