Domaine de Tara

About the estate

Founded in the 18th century as a relay for travelers, the Domaine de Tara estate is located in the southern Rhône Valley in Roussillon and covers a vineyard area of twelve hectares. The vineyards are situated on an eastern slope at an altitude of 250 meters on limestone scree soils, producing white, red, and rosé wines under the AOC Ventoux and Vaucluse IGP denominations. The cultivated grape varieties include Syrah, Grenache noir, Roussanne, Grenache blanc, and Clairette. The estate follows an agroecological approach with soil cultivation, is currently converting to organic farming, and relies on gentle vinification and manual harvesting. Today, the property is managed by the brothers Guillaume and François-Julien Vermersch.
