About the estate
The family-run Domaine de Saje estate spans nearly 7.5 hectares of vineyards distributed across 23 plots in Châteauneuf-du-Pape and three plots in Orange. Winemaker Jérôme Mathieu represents multiple generations of winegrowers and produces wines under the AOC Châteauneuf-du-Pape and AOC Côtes du Rhône appellations. The vineyards are cultivated entirely without herbicides, and harvesting is done exclusively by hand. Vinification takes place in the family's ancestral cellar located in the heart of the village, followed by traditional aging in old oak foudres.
