About the estate
The Château de la Nerthe estate looks back on a five-hundred-year history in the Rhône Valley, with its first documented mention dating back to 1560. The property encompasses 90 hectares of vineyards located in the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation. Throughout the centuries, historical figures such as the Tulle de Villefranche family, Commandant Joseph Ducos, and today the Richard family have shaped the development of the winery. The wines are produced from traditional grape varieties including Mourvèdre, Grenache, Syrah, Counoise, Clairette, and Picpoul. The entire estate has been certified organic since 1998.
