About the estate

The Domaine de Matilat estate was founded in 1985 by Guy and Véronique Labenne under the name Domaine Piron. Following a hiatus, their son Baptiste Labenne took over the operations in 2020 and gave the property its current name. Spanning thirteen hectares of vineyards in Riscle in the heart of Gascony, the winery cultivates a diverse range of local and international grape varieties for red, white, and rosé wines. The estate focuses on environmental preservation through natural grass cover in the rows and is pursuing high environmental value certification. In the cellar, vinification takes place in stainless steel tanks to produce single-varietal wines and blends.
