About the estate

The Domaine de la Pirolette estate is located in the heart of Saint-Amour within a historic building dating back to 1600, ranking among the larger properties in the appellation. Across 15 hectares of vineyards surrounding the property, a new generation of winemakers tends to parcel-specific sites such as La Pirolette, Le Carjot, and La Poulette. The soils of these south and southeast-facing vineyards feature blue stone, schist, sandstone, clay, and deep weathered pink granite. The primary focus is on the Gamay Noir grape variety, which is gently vinified in a traditional concrete vat room. The parcel-specific wines are aged in concrete eggs and oak barrels, offering freshness, structure, and pronounced fruit expressions.
