About the estate
The Domaine Michel Magnien estate is a family-run property spanning 19 hectares on the Côte de Nuits, tracing its history back through multiple generations with establishment noted in 1946. Today, the winery is led by Frédéric Magnien representing the fifth generation, who transitioned the vineyards entirely to organic and biodynamic agriculture. The holdings are distributed across various appellations in the region, encompassing Grands Crus, Premiers Crus, and regional designations. Winemaking involves ageing the wines partially in neutral ceramic vessels alongside traditional old barrels in order to preserve the purity of the fruit.
The eno directory lists 30 wines, mostly from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
