About the estate
The family-owned Domaine de la Cote d'Or estate is situated in Anières on the south shore of Lake Geneva, with a history dating back to 1604 when it was a monastery. The family has farmed the vineyards for three generations and has transitioned to traditional viticulture using copper and sulfur for protection alongside natural winemaking. The terroir is shaped by a historical moraine left by the Rhône glacier, offering well-drained stony soils at the top and clay soils in lower areas. The production encompasses over 15 grape varieties, including Mara, Pinot Noir and Gamaret, with wines aged in tanks or barrels under the AOC Genève denomination.
