About the estate
The Domaine d'Esperance estate was acquired and restored in 1990 by Jean-Louis and Claire de Montesquiou in the Gascogne region. The 30-hectare vineyard is situated on a sandy-clay terroir in Mauvezin-d'Armagnac, known as Grand-Bas-Armagnac. The vineyards are planted with various grape varieties including Baco 22A, Folle Blanche, Gros-Manseng, Colombard, Sauvignon, Ugni-Blanc, Tannat, Merlot, and Cabernet. Viticulture is conducted using traditional methods with a minimized use of fertilizers and herbicides. The estate's products are distributed in France and many other countries.
