Domaine Butin

About the estate

The Domaine Butin estate is located in Lavigny in the Jura region and is managed by Philippe Butin, who took over the family operations in 1981. Spanning a vineyard area of approximately 5.5 hectares, with around 4 hectares dedicated to white varieties such as Chardonnay and Savagnin, the winemaker applies a low-intervention and reasoned approach in the vineyards. The red wines are fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks, while the white wines are predominantly aged under a flor veil and rank among the region's notable expressions. Alongside expressive reds and fine whites, the estate also produces traditional regional specialties including Vin Jaune and Vin de Paille.
