About the estate

The Domaine Paul Autard estate is situated between Courthézon and Châteauneuf-du-Pape in the Rhône Valley and is managed through intergenerational family tradition. The vineyards feature soils composed of sand, clay-limestone, and rolled pebbles, where vines range from 40 to 95 years of age. Cultivated grape varieties for red wines include Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Cinsault, Muscardin, and Merlot, whereas Clairette, Roussanne, Grenache Blanc, and Viognier are used for white wines. The winery operates under reasoned cultivation practices, emphasizing canopy management, phenolic maturity, total destemming, and barrel aging. Alongside Jean-Paul Autard, his children Pauline and Jules are actively involved in the family business.
