About the estate
The Dolomytos winery is located in South Tyrol in the municipality of Ritten at an altitude of 500 metres, featuring steep, south-facing porphyry soils in a very warm hillside location. The estate was created between 1998 and 2009 by Rainer Zierock according to his own concepts, incorporating the teachings of Rudolf Steiner and the principle of the five elements. Following spontaneous fermentation in cigarillos, the wine is aged in a 70-metre-long tunnel at a constant temperature. The estate covers 3.5 hectares of vineyards, and its wines fall under the Alto Adige DOC denomination.
