About the estate
The family-run Courbis estate manages steep, terraced vineyards on the right bank of the Rhône in the northern Rhône Valley. For several generations, the family has cultivated vines across the AOC Saint-Joseph, Cornas, Saint-Péray, and Crozes-Hermitage appellations. The soils are predominantly granitic, with occasional limestone influences and rolled pebbles. The cultivated grape varieties include Syrah, Marsanne, and Roussanne. Vineyard work and harvesting are carried out entirely by hand, while in the winery, each parcel is vinified separately using stainless steel tanks, concrete vats, and oak barrels.
