About the estate
The BOTT Graeme & Julie estate was founded in 2015 by New Zealand-born Graeme Bott and local native Julie in Ampuis in the Rhône Valley. Starting from scratch without any family background in winemaking, they began in a small garage and painstakingly cleared wasteland to plant their initial plots. Today, the winery manages twelve hectares of vineyards across appellations including AOC Condrieu, AOC Cornas, AOC Côte-Rôtie, AOC Crozes-Hermitage, AOC Saint-Joseph, and Collines Rhodaniennes IGP. The vineyards are characterized by granite and schist soils, which serve as home to traditional varieties such as Viognier and Syrah. All vineyard work is conducted entirely by hand, and vinification is carried out plot by plot to craft precise wines that reflect their terroir.
