About the estate

The CORNAREA Az. Agr. s.s. estate is located in Canale in the heart of the Roero region and is run as a family business by brothers Gian Nicola and Pierfranco Bovone. The history of the winery is closely linked to the revival of Roero Arneis, after the family acquired the namesake hill in 1974 and invested in the recovery of the native white grape variety, which was almost extinct at the time. Across a contiguous vineyard area of 15 hectares entirely owned by the estate, the winery cultivates Arneis as well as Nebbiolo, producing wines such as Roero and Nebbiolo d'Alba. The estate is also known for the Tarasco passito, which is made from late-harvested Arneis grapes affected by noble rot and aged in used barriques.

The eno directory lists 7 wines, mostly from Arneis and Nebbiolo.
