Colliforti

About the estate

The Colliforti estate was founded in 2019 by Francesco and Emanuele Frosali when they took over abandoned agricultural land in the Val d’Orcia at the foot of Mount Amiata. The vineyards and old farmsteads were restored through intensive work, and the winery is currently undergoing organic conversion while completely avoiding the use of pesticides. The volcanic calcareous-marl soils, combined with local temperature variations and mild winds, provide the foundation for wine production. In the completely renovated historic cellar, the winery combines modern stainless steel tanks with French oak barriques for aging. The portfolio includes wines from the Montecucco Rosso DOC and Montecucco Sangiovese DOCG appellations.
