About the estate
The Chona Alco estate is a family-owned and traditional winery located in Telavi in the Kakheti region, featuring a long-standing tradition of natural winemaking. The management of the two-hectare vineyard situated in the village of Kurdghelauri within the Tsinandali micro-zone follows bio-organic principles. The cultivated grape varieties include Kakhuri Mtsvane, Rkasiteli, and Saperavi. The entire process, from vineyard management and harvesting to bottling, is carried out by family members. Vinification is based on traditional Kakhetian technology involving fermentation and aging in Qvevri.
