About the estate
The Chateau Luchey-Halde estate is located in the French municipality of Mérignac within the Pessac-Léognan appellation and was recreated by Bordeaux Sciences Agro as an urban vineyard. The winery combines traditional viticulture with modern technologies and innovations originating from the academic environment of the school. The vineyards feature poor and well-draining gravel soils composed of pebbles and fine earth deposited by the Garonne and its tributaries. Management relies on manual harvesting into small containers alongside a strong commitment to environmental standards and certifications. In the modern cellar, vinification takes place in stainless steel vats followed by aging in oak barrels.
The estate sells to horeca and retail. Export markets include Switzerland and Belgium.
