About the estate
The Chateau du Claouset - Chateau Lapinesse estate is located in Lugaignac within the Bordeaux region and is managed by the twin brothers Laurent and David Siozard in the sixth generation. The history of the family-run estate dates back to 1830, when the first generation settled in the hamlet of Le Claouset. Today, the winery cultivates around sixty hectares of vineyards across various terroirs, including holdings in the Barsac area. The portfolio includes traditional grape varieties such as Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Sémillon, alongside rediscovered older varieties. Vinification utilizes modern techniques, with the red wines and select white wines being aged in oak barrels following traditional practices.
The eno directory lists 4 wines, mostly from Sémillon.
