Chateau Jouvente

About the estate

The family-owned Château Jouvente estate is located in the heart of the Graves appellation in Illats and produces both white and red wines. The terroir features soils composed of stones, pebbles, sand, and clay carried by the Garonne River, resulting in cool and relatively poor soils. The winery practices responsible agriculture and has been certified at the highest environmental level since the 2019 vintage. Farming is conducted without the use of chemical herbicides and incorporates a biocontrol program. Harvesting is performed entirely by hand to ensure precise selection of the grapes. The white wines, crafted from Sémillon, Sauvignon Blanc, Sauvignon Gris, and Muscadelle, undergo fermentation and aging in oak barrels.
