About the estate
The Chateau de Rieufret estate has been farmed by the Dufour family since 1814, originating from a polyculture farm before specializing in viticulture. Today, the property spans 33 hectares of vineyards across the Bordeaux, Graves, and Sauternes appellations, cultivating Sémillon, Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon. Two generations manage the estate, combining traditional expertise with modern, environmentally friendly techniques and biocontrol methods. The vineyards benefit from a unique geographical location between the Garonne and Ciron rivers, which creates a microclimate ideal for wine production. The winery is certified for sustainable agriculture with a high environmental value standard.
The eno directory lists 7 wines, mostly from Sémillon and Sauvignon Blanc.
