About the estate

The Chateau Haut Calens estate is a family-run property in Beautiran whose winemaking tradition in the Bordeaux Graves region dates back to 1430. In 1987, the property was acquired by the Artaud family, who invested in replanting the vineyard and modernizing the cellar and vat room. Today, the estate spans a vineyard area of 35 hectares on deep gravel and grey sand soils. Cultivation is undergoing conversion to organic viticulture, featuring manual harvesting and precise plot management. The red wines are produced from Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, while Sémillon, Sauvignon Blanc, and Muscadelle are used for the white wines.
