About the estate
Built in 1791, the Chateau Guilhem estate is managed by the fifth generation of the family and is located in the heart of the Malepère region near Carcassonne. The property encompasses more than 35 hectares of clay-limestone hillside vineyards with southern and southwestern exposures. Grape varieties such as Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon Blanc thrive on these soils under the combined influences of Atlantic and Mediterranean climates. The vineyards have been cultivated using organic farming methods since 2010. Today, the winery exports its wines to more than 20 countries worldwide.
