About the estate
The Chateau de Vaux estate is located in the heart of the village of Vaux-Clochemerle in the Beaujolais region and has been passed down from father to son for five generations. The historical property dates back to the twelfth century, when monks from Cluny planted the first vineyards in the municipality. In the 1920s, Louis de Vermont initiated the commercial exploitation and promotion of the estate's wines. Today, Yannick de Vermont manages the family vineyards with an eco-responsible and sustainable approach. The winery holds both Terra Vitis environmental certification and High Environmental Value certification starting from the 2019 vintage.
