Chateau de Malfourat

About the estate

The Château de Malfourat estate is situated in Monbazillac within the Dordogne wine region and looks back on a history spanning over a century. The vineyards sit at an altitude of 190 metres, benefiting from a unique microclimate influenced by the nearby Dordogne river that encourages the development of botrytis. The property was farmed by the Chabrol family across four generations before young winemaker Kevin Jarzaguet took over operations in 2021. The production features characterful white wines, sparkling wine, and traditionally crafted bottlings from the local terroir. The working methods combine ancestral techniques with modern tools to preserve the purity of the aromas.
