About the estate
The Château Cantelauze-Mezy estate manages twelve hectares of vineyards in Duravel in southwest France, producing wines within the AOC Cahors and Côtes du Lot IGP denominations. The soils range from clay-limestone with scree to clay-silt with rolled pebbles, influenced by both Atlantic and Mediterranean climates. The vineyards are predominantly planted with Malbec and Merlot, alongside recently top-grafted parcels of white grape varieties such as Sauvignon Gris and Gros Manseng. Marcel Mezy applies a specific fertilization process to the vines while emphasizing environmental protection and respect for the fruit. Vinification is tailored specifically to each cuvee to produce wines that reflect their respective terroir.
