About the estate
The Celler Joan Simó estate has its roots in a multi-generational winemaking family and was founded in 1999 by Gerard Batllevell Simó in Porrera within the Priorat DOQ region. To realize the project, the historic building Cal Ros was transformed into a modern winery with a capacity for 25,000 bottles. The estate manages vineyards including the high-altitude, terraced Finca La Garranxa as well as parcels with century-old vines dedicated to producing terroir-driven wines. The philosophy of the winery is based on consistency, passion, and quality, aiming to create distinct wines that authentically reflect their origin and individual personality.
The eno directory lists 5 wines, mostly from Grenache and Carinyena.
