About the estate
The Celler Gritelles winery is situated in the north of Montsant within the Priorat region, specifically in the valley of Cornudella between the Montsant mountains and the Gritelles. The vineyards are located at an altitude of 400 to 700 metres above sea level and benefit from a warm, dry climate with cool nights. The diverse soils consisting of clay, limestone, slate, and pebbles shape the characteristics of the wines. The cultivated grape varieties include Garnatxa Negra, Macabeu, and Carinyena. The team continues the local tradition of winemaking while placing great emphasis on the balance between the terroir, the vines, and the microorganisms.
