The Castell de Biart estate is located in Empordà, the oldest wine region on the Iberian Peninsula, with a winemaking culture dating back to the Phoenicians and medieval monastic traditions. The Viscounty of Biart dates back to the year 1150, and its historical castle was rebuilt after being destroyed during the Napoleonic invasions, transforming it into a modern winery with medieval elements. Today, the estate combines the region's long-standing tradition with modern technology to produce wines and cavas under the Empordà DO designation. The philosophy is based on a commitment to innovation alongside traditional cultivation methods, including experimentation with new grape varieties to enhance quality.
