Empordalia

About the estate

The Empordàlia winery is an association of small producers from the Empordà region whose history began in 1947 with the founding of the cooperative in Vilajuïga and led to the current union in 2005. The vineyards and land are characterized by rocky geography, the Tramontane wind, low rainfall, and the proximity to the Mediterranean Sea. The terroir is cultivated with old and native grape varieties as well as centuries-old olive trees, with Garnacha and Cariñena serving as the basis for the wines of the Empordà DO designation. The working method is based on traditional values, teamwork, and strict respect for the environment in this area surrounded by natural parks.
