About the estate
Founded in 1969, the Cantina Cellaro Soc. Coop. Agr. estate cultivates a vineyard area of over 1,500 hectares situated between 50 and 600 meters above sea level in Sicily. The vineyards extend across a diverse territory within the provinces of Agrigento, Trapani, and Palermo, featuring varied soil compositions and microclimates. The production focuses on indigenous grape varieties such as Nero d’Avola, Grillo, and Nerello Mascalese, alongside international varieties including Syrah, Merlot, and Chardonnay. Supported by more than 600 members, the cooperative combines traditional farming with modern technology and renewable energy sources. A partnership with the Fantini Group initiated in 2010 has facilitated successful positioning on the international market.
The eno directory lists 2 wines, mostly from Grillo. The estate sells to horeca.
