About the estate

The Boutique Winery estate is run by winemaker Ulrich Tapfer in the South Tyrolean municipality of Eppan/Girlan. Nine years ago, the winemaker took the step into self-employment and has since cultivated fungus-resistant grape varieties such as Sauvignon Gris, Bronner, and Muscaris. A particular focus is placed on the Solaris variety, whose grapes grow at an altitude of over 1000 meters in the Venosta Valley. Thanks to the slow and late ripening at this location, complex, multi-layered, and certified organic PIWI wines are produced. For vinification, the winery relies on manual harvest in small crates, gentle pressing, fermentation in stainless steel, and aging on the fine lees in wooden barrels.
