About the estate
The Yann Chave estate was founded in 1970 by Nicole and Bernard Chave in the Rhône Valley and spans four hectares of vineyards. Originally operated as a mixed farm combining orchards and vines, the property eventually shifted its focus entirely to viticulture. Following the return of Yann Chave in 1996 and the subsequent arrival of the next generation, the winemaking style evolved toward refined, elegant wines produced through gentle extraction methods. Today, the winery cultivates parcels within the Crozes-Hermitage, Saint-Joseph, and Hermitage appellations. The vinification process remains dedicated to faithfully expressing the character and identity of these northern Rhône terroirs.
