About the estate
The Borgo Salcetino winery was established in 1996 by Friulian winemakers Valneo and Tonino Livon in Radda in Chianti in Tuscany. The estate covers a total area of 30 hectares, of which 15 hectares are dedicated to vineyards that have undergone a gradual and complete renewal process. The planting density reaches 7000 vines per hectare, featuring indigenous grape varieties such as Sangiovese and Canaiolo alongside experimental plantings of Merlot. The production focuses on wines under the Chianti Classico DOCG denomination, benefiting from galestro soils and significant diurnal temperature variations across the hilly terrain.
