About the estate
The Bodegas Olivares winery was founded in 1930 by Pascual Olivares Fernandez in the Jumilla region. The focus lies on the Monastrell grape variety, which thrives on the region's poor soils and shapes the character of the wines. The family business is now managed in the third generation and also distributes its products on the international market. In addition to red wines, the winery gained particular recognition for a sweet red wine commercially available starting in 1998. Today, the estate produces both traditional sweet wines and dry wines such as Altos de la Hoya.
The eno directory lists 2 wines, mostly from Mourvèdre.
