About the estate
The Bodegas Ontalba estate combines the centuries-old winemaking tradition of the Castilla-La Mancha region with modern cultivation and vinification methods. The cooperative manages vineyards using traditional training systems such as bush vines and trellis cultivation, where low yields ensure high grape quality. Harvesting takes place from September to October, mostly by hand or mechanically after careful selection of the clusters. In the cellar, the winery relies on temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks as well as aging in French oak barrels. The company's wines are distributed under the Jumilla DO designation of origin.
