About the estate
Founded in 1870, Bodegas Alceño in Jumilla is considered the oldest commercial winery in the area. The vineyards are located within the Jumilla protected designation of origin in southeastern Spain, benefiting from significant altitude differences ranging from 400 to 950 meters and diverse soils containing limestone and sand. The grape variety portfolio includes Monastrell, Syrah, Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc, and Verdejo, among others. Today, the estate is managed by the Bastida family, combining modern vinification techniques with traditional identity. Wines are produced for both domestic and international markets.
The eno directory lists 13 wines, mostly from Sauvignon Blanc and Mourvèdre.
